Serving those who served.

The Tierney Center for Veteran Services has served more than 11,500 veterans since its inception. We are proud to be a comprehensive resource center serving veterans and their families at no cost.

About Us

Goodwill of Orange County founded the Tierney Center for Veteran Services in 2016. The center is named after philanthropists Thomas (Tom) T. and Elizabeth C. Tierney, who gave a transformational gift to bring the center to life. Tom, a veteran himself, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as a deputy chief of logistics plans. Tom and Elizabeth are passionate about serving veterans and through their philanthropy aim to pay forward the gift of freedom given to us all by our servicemen and women.

The center was the first comprehensive resource center for serving veterans in the county, providing comprehensive, wraparound, co-located services at a single location. It has now become a model replicated nationwide for better service and support of veterans and their families.
