Veteran Outreach
Regardless of employment or income status, our veteran outreach team is here to provide direct support to veterans and their families.
Serving those who served.
At the Tierney Center for Veteran Services, we provide comprehensive, coordinated and quality services at no cost. Below are the services we can provide directly through our outreach program.
Basic Needs
The Tierney Center is able to provide immediate assistance with food, hygiene and transportation. We have partnerships with 211 OC for direct application for CalFresh benefits, Uber and Lyft for bus passes and moving assistance, and more.
Housing Resources
In partnership with the Veterans Affairs (VA) and County of Orange, we serve as a central access point for immediate referral into the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing and Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) programs. With this assistance, there can also be linkage to immediate shelters and bridge housing.
Education & Employment
For those veterans that are in crisis and seeking immediate financial assistance, the Tierney Center is able to provide veterans enrolled in our services a one-time payment. Working alongside other partnering organizations, we are also able to link veterans and their families to additional emergency financial assistance.
